Terms of sale

These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase made on umojastudio.com (the Store).

1. Seller
UMOJA is a brand owned by RJT Services, a French sole proprietorship (micro-entreprise), SIREN 931 377 519, registered at 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France. Contact: contact@umojastudio.fr, +33 7 66 76 80 42.

2. Eligibility
By placing an order, you confirm that you are of legal age in your country and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Products
The Store offers art and objects selected by UMOJA: bronze sculptures, paintings and wood pieces made by artisans. Paintings are painted by hand, to order, in the size and frame you choose. Because every piece is made by hand, small variations in color, texture or finish compared with the photos are natural and are part of the character of the piece.

4. Orders
Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed. You receive an order confirmation by email, then a shipping email with tracking. For paintings, we also confirm the details of your order within 48 hours and send you photos during production, as described in our Shipping Policy. We may refuse or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, such as suspected fraud or a pricing error. If we cancel an order after payment, you are refunded in full.

5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payment is due at checkout, using the payment methods shown at checkout.

6. Shipping
We ship to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Norway, South Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya and Senegal. Shipping is free on paintings to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Norway. For bronze sculptures, wood pieces and shipments to Africa, shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Some pieces, including paintings, are produced and shipped by our partner workshops. Delivery times, the painting approval process and customs duties are detailed in our Shipping Policy.

7. Painting approval
When your painting is finished, you receive photos and a video and have 4 days to approve it or ask for a change. Without a reply within 4 days, the painting is considered approved and is shipped automatically.

8. Returns
Paintings are made to order and approved by you on photos and video before shipping. Once approved, or after 4 days without a reply, a painting is final and cannot be returned or refunded for a change of mind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. A painting is only replaced or refunded if it arrives damaged or broken, has a manufacturing defect, or does not match the painting you approved, and the issue is reported within 48 hours of delivery. Bronze sculptures and wood pieces can be returned within 14 days of delivery, under the conditions of our Refund Policy. Customers in France, the European Union, Norway and the United Kingdom also benefit from the right of withdrawal, the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects, as described in our Refund Policy.

9. Damaged items
Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery at contact@umojastudio.fr, with photos of the item and its packaging. We then replace the piece or refund you.

10. Taxes and customs
Sales taxes may be collected where required by law. For international shipments, customs duties and import taxes may apply and are paid by the recipient.

11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the Store or of the products purchased. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. Intellectual property
All content on the Store, including texts, images, the UMOJA name and logo, belongs to RJT Services or its licensors and may not be used without written permission.

13. Privacy
Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
